I started photographing clients professionally in 2007, but have loved photography for as long as I can remember. After much consideration, I closed Poetic in 2015 because I just wasn’t feeling inspired anymore. I was burned out and needed to focus on our other family business. In 2019 I reopened because I missed creating portraits – interacting with my clients, building friendships, helping my subjects to record their stories and reveal themselves through art. The time off gave me the opportunity to focus on the specific parts of photography I love, to attend workshops, photograph my family, grow as artist and find new inspiration.
I am a wife of 27 years, have four amazing kids, and one huge dog, Niko. My kids lovingly complain that Niko is my favorite :). In addition to photography, I love reading, traveling, yoga, hiking, backpacking, camping, meditating, volunteering, spending time with my family and meeting new people.
Ensuring my models feel relaxed and confident in front of my camera is essential to me. I hope to see you through my lens one day soon.
